It's all very well writing while the kids sleep; if only they did all sleep simultaneously!

About me and my tribe

Abigail - By day I'm a teacher or single mother, depending on the day of the week (as I teach 4 year olds, there's quite a cross-over anyway), and by night a fighter of grime. Well, I would be if I could be bothered. Instead, I'm letting the dust bunnies stay, because I'm trying to chase some dreams before I get any older ...

10 year old - Bean is our daughter. She loves to mother everyone, and if it descends into bossiness occasionally, well, I don't know where she gets that from. She cries at the happy bits in films, and reads under the bedcovers by torchlight.

8 year old - He is boisterous, sensitive and his volume control is stuck on 'loud', and he always, always wants to know what words mean. He likes to answer back and says 'I love you' every morning while he's cleaning his teeth.

6 year old - He is a stubborn, enchanting and unique little man, who can't really be bothered, yet, to word-wrangle in reading or writing. He is in training for a Darwin Award and is precociously talented in this area, which keeps me busy.

3 year old - The little one is doted on by her siblings. Her favourite book is "The dinosaur that pooped a planet". I miss the days when she used to nap, but she has two pre-school sessions a week, so guess what I use those for..?
